Originally, 450 Unite members at Cardiff Bus were set to walk out due to disputes over pay and working conditions. The strike was set to start on 17th August and carry on till 7th September, potentially causing major disruptions. However, a revised offer with better pay and improved work conditions, like longer breaks and improved sickness terms, has bought some peace.
Unite will now hold a ballot between 15th and 29th August to decide on the new proposal. For now, the strike is off, and Cardiff Bus services will run as usual. Keep enjoying the summer fun without any worries about your weekend transport! 🎉🚌
