Heads Up: Massive Landslide at Nefyn Beach! 🏞️

A dramatic landslide has hit Nefyn beach on the stunning Llyn Peninsula in North Wales after a solid day of rain! 🌧️ The cliffs took a beating, sending mud cascading down onto the beach, shutting down a section of the Wales Coast Path. If you’re planning a coastal walk, you’ll need to take a detour! Diversion plans are already in the works, so keep an eye out for updates before you head out.

Local snapper Angie Jones shared some jaw-dropping pics and videos, capturing the muddy mess as it continues to slide. One beachgoer hilariously compared the landslide to the TV show “Tipping Point”—only this time, it’s mud, not coins, piling up! 🎥💧
Cyngor Gwynedd officials are on-site, keeping an eye on things and sorting out the cleanup operation. They’ve asked everyone to steer clear of the Penrallt path for now to stay safe. The path closure will remain until further notice.
Four years ago, the same spot dealt with a hefty slide, so this isn’t a first for the area. Local teams are working hard to establish a temporary route, so continue enjoying your coastal adventures without worry.
Stay tuned for more updates, and remember, safety first! If you’re in the area, let us know how things are shaping up—drop a comment or share your pics below! 📸🌲
