❄️🧣 Winter is here, and so is the freezing weather! With parts of the UK covered in snow, it’s crucial to keep your home warm without skyrocketing your energy bills. We spoke to over 100 heating experts who agreed on some top tips to keep your house cosy:

1️⃣ **Draught-Proof Your Home**: This is the most cost-effective method. Simple fixes like draught excluders or rolled-up towels can block gaps under doors and windows. Experts say it could save you up to £85 a year!

2️⃣ **Curtain Call**: Use those curtains wisely. Keep them open during the day to let in sunlight and close them at night to trap the heat.

3️⃣ **Thermostat Tips**: Cranking up the thermostat to warm up your home quicker? That’s a no-go. It doesn’t speed things up but will increase your bills. Aim to keep it between 18-21°C and try turning it down by just 1°C to cut your bill by 10%.
4️⃣ **Room-Specific Heating**: Only heat the rooms you’re using. Turn off radiators in rooms you’re not using and keep doors closed to retain heat. After cooking, let the heat from the oven warm up your kitchen a bit more.
5️⃣ **Proper Boiler & Radiator Use**: Ensure your boiler is serviced and set the flow temperature correctly. Bleed and clean radiators annually to make sure they’re heating efficiently.
6️⃣ **Layer Up**: Keep yourself warm with some extra layers, blankets, and perhaps a hot water bottle. Sometimes, personal warmth can reduce the need for cranking the heating.
Stay toasty, save money, and cheers to a warm winter! 🔥🏠
