The Nissan LEAF, starting at £32,249, offers up to 386 miles of driving range and quick charging from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Made at the Sunderland plant, it’s a boost for UK manufacturing and provides reassurance for potential EV buyers.

Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander praised Nissan’s addition, calling it a pivotal move to make EVs more affordable for families and a win for UK manufacturing. James Taylor, Nissan GB’s Managing Director, echoed this excitement, highlighting the benefits of the LEAF—a vehicle combining range, tech, and quality built right here in the UK.

For a car to qualify, it generally needs to be an M1 passenger vehicle with 0gCO2/km emissions and a battery range of at least 100 miles. The scheme has already helped over 35,000 motorists switch to electric since July. With electric vehicles now making up one in four new car purchases, there’s never been a better time to go green.

Curious about which cars are included? The scheme covers vehicles like Citroën, Peugeot, Renault, Skoda, Vauxhall, Volkswagen—and more! 🌍🚙
