Heads up, everyone! Part of the M4 has turned into a bit of a water park this afternoon. Heavy rain has led to flooding, causing some serious delays. Lane two is shut eastbound between junctions 43 (Llandarcy) and 42 (Earlswood) due to pesky water puddles taking over.
Traffic Wales is urging drivers to leave some extra time for their trips — you’ll need it! Cameras confirm congestion is building up, not just here, but spilling over to other sections of the M4. The AA’s got eyes on things too, reporting gridlock with a 16-minute hold-up between junctions 48 and 43.
Meanwhile, traffic near Birchgrove is crawling thanks to slowdowns on the B4625, and the A4067 isn’t any better with queuing traffic around junction 45. Those heading Eastbound can expect a 13-minute holdup easing up a bit between junction 47 and 43 with an average snail’s pace of 15 mph.
