👶 Exciting News for 2026 Parents! 👶

Are you welcoming a little one in 2026? Keep an eye on your postbox next autumn! Families across the UK, from England to Scotland, could be invited to join “Generation New Era,” the first long-term study of its kind in 25 years, involving up to 30,000 babies! 📬✨

This groundbreaking research project aims to gather vital insights into how our future generation develops physically, mentally, and socially. Researchers will gather information at two crucial stages in your child’s early life—between 9 to 11 months and again at ages 3 to 4. The study will continue tracking these children into their adult lives.
What’s included? Parents will contribute info on various aspects like children’s health, well-being, early language skills, school readiness, and even the family’s social and environmental circumstances. Moreover, you’ll help decode genetic links to diseases by sharing saliva samples!
Dads and diverse parenting groups will play an integral part to ensure our study reflects the UK’s rich diversity. This research holds promise to transform our understanding of children’s lives and improve societal well-being, shining a light on factors like digital media influence and mental health trends among young ones.
Backed by the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) Infrastructure Fund and the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), this initiative is set to revolutionise childhood and family policy-making for years to come. 🌍🔬
Stay tuned if you’re a 2026 parent. This could be your chance to contribute to something monumental!
