Here’s what you need to know:
– Affected packs include the 800g SMA Advanced First Infant Milk with a best before date of December 2027 (batch 53390346AB), particularly distributed in Northern Ireland.
– Other affected products include SMA Advanced Follow-On Milk, SMA Anti Reflux, SMA Alfamino, SMA First Infant Milk, SMA Little Steps First Infant Milk, SMA Comfort, and SMA Lactose Free.

While there have been no confirmed illnesses linked to these products, Nestle is prioritising safety with this precautionary recall. If you have any of these products, stop using them immediately. You can find more details on the affected batches on food.gov.uk or the Nestle website.

When switching your baby’s formula, it’s best to consult with your GP, pharmacist, or NHS 111 if needed, especially if your baby has consumed any of the recalled products.

In a related development, Danone also recalled a batch of Aptamil formula due to similar concerns. It’s been found that the contamination stems from a shared third-party ingredient supplier.
