A stalker with a history of trouble has been locked up for his disturbing behaviour towards a woman trying to help him. Dale Myles Selby, 37, from Llanystumdwy, Criccieth, found himself back in court after sending abusive voice messages, threatening to “bust down” her door and assault her and her husband. This all happened while he was already under a suspended sentence for burglary.

Earlier this week, Selby’s actions caught up with him at Mold Crown Court. Admitting to stalking, he was handed a six-month sentence and a two-year term for activating his suspended burglary sentence, totalling two and a half years behind bars. The court also issued him with a five-year Domestic Abuse Protection Order to ensure the woman’s safety moving forward.
North Wales Police didn’t hold back in condemning Selby’s disgraceful behaviour. Inspector Iwan Jones made it clear that threats of violence, especially towards women, won’t be taken lightly. The message is strong: the law will pursue anyone stepping out of line, and support is available for those experiencing similar threatening situations.

It’s a stark reminder of the importance of speaking out if you’re ever made to feel unsafe. Violence and intimidation have no place in our communities, and the police urge anyone experiencing threats to come forward. Knowing there are protections and support systems in place can make all the difference. Stay safe and always reach out for help when needed!
