Ever had one of those days where time just slips away? Well, BBC Radio Wales presenter Eleri Siôn can certainly relate! Eleri found herself in quite the predicament when she got locked inside Romilly Park in Barry, just hours before her evening show. Taking to social media, she posted a snap of the park gates firmly shut, and shared her unexpected adventure!

“I’ve been locked in the park!!! This is going to be an adventure!!” she wrote, as she detailed how she lost track of time while chatting with her dad. As closing time came and went, Eleri realised that she, her dog, and locked gates were the only ones left in sight.

But not to fear, her husband was quick to the rescue, arriving with a ladder in hand. Our damsel in distress referred to him as her “knight in shining blinkin armour.” Even a neighbour joined the escape mission with an extra ladder, turning a simple dog walk into a full-blown rescue operation!

Starting her show a tad flustered but mostly amused, Eleri was grateful she made it in time to be on air. Reflecting on her sticky situation, she shared, “I lost track of what time it was…every gate firmly locked…just me and the dog, on our own.”
The fun didn’t end there; Eleri laughed off her husband’s cheeky comment about the timing of the incident, proving that sometimes, you just have to roll with it and enjoy the adventure!
