🤴 Exclusive: The King and Mr Fawcett Reunited at Windsor!

In a surprising turn of events, King Charles had a discreet farewell meeting with his former aide, Michael Fawcett, at Windsor Castle. Fawcett, once a trusted confidante, had left his role following the cash-for-honours controversy back in 2021.

Despite their past, the King extended a standard farewell audience to Fawcett, who was reportedly “welcomed back into the royal circle” during a covert visit a few months ago. This meeting wasn’t about bringing him back into the royal fold, but rather a customary goodbye as Fawcett moves on from his prominent role.
The scandal, which saw Fawcett resign as chief executive of The King’s Foundation, involved allegations about securing honours in exchange for donations. Although investigated by the Metropolitan Police, no further action was taken.
Having worked his way up from a Buckingham Palace footman to becoming one of Charles’s indispensable aides, Fawcett had quit twice before—but this farewell seems truly final. A source mentioned that such farewell meetings are routine, but can be delayed due to various pressures.
Meanwhile, both Charles and Camilla were spotted waving to well-wishers as they headed to and from a Sunday service near Balmoral, with the King himself at the wheel.
