Andy was found with a bright red, foul-smelling wound and severely underweight. His owner falsely claimed he had seen a vet recently, but it turned out he hadn’t received proper medical attention for years. The RSPCA stepped in after being alerted and discovered the shocking state Andy was in.

Thankfully, Andy’s story takes a positive turn. Taken from his neglectful environment, Andy received medical care and attention. He has since had surgery to heal his wound, gained weight, and is on the path to recovery. This lovely dog is ready for a fresh start in a loving home! 🐶❤️

Mottram, admitting to failing her dog under the Animal Welfare Act, has been banned from keeping animals for a decade. With a suspended sentence and various rehabilitation conditions including wearing an alcohol tag, justice takes a step forward for Andy. The district judge called her actions “inexcusable and shocking.”

RSPCA’s foster care is showering Andy with the love and care he deserves, helping him heal and thrive. We’re hopeful that Andy will soon find a forever home where he’s cherished.

Let’s remind ourselves: responsible pet ownership is crucial. Animals rely on us for their well-being. Let’s ensure nothing like this ever happens again.
