Exciting times for Scarlets fans! This Saturday night at Parc y Scarlets, get ready to cheer for the debut of our prodigious 17-year-old talent, Carwyn Leggatt-Jones, fresh from Llandovery College. He’s set to make a splash off the bench in the United Rugby Championship face-off against Glasgow Warriors.
We’re thrilled to have Wales star Ryan Elias back on the field after his bicep/elbow ordeal, making his first appearance of the season. Joining him is our captain, Josh Macleod, returning with a vengeance after a pectoral injury. Young wing Iori Badham is also making waves, set for his URC debut alongside Jac Davies and Tomi Lewis.
Coach Dwayne Peel is raring to turn the season around, fielding a mix of seasoned pros and exciting newcomers. Despite missing a few key players, it’s a golden opportunity for our young, home-grown talent to shine! Peel emphasises the importance of building momentum and sees the return of leaders like Elias and Macleod as pivotal.
Here’s the Scarlets line-up: Jac Davies; Iori Badham, Macs Page, Eddie James, Tomi Lewis; Sam Costelow, Gareth Davies; Kemsley Mathias, Ryan Elias, Archer Holz, Jake Ball, Sam Lousi, Max Douglas, Josh Macleod (capt), Fletcher Anderson. On the bench, ready to make an impact, are names like Marnus van der Merwe, Harvey Cuckson, and debutant Gabe McDonald.
