📢 Exciting News for Cardiff & Penarth! 🗳️

The 2026 Senedd Election is around the corner, and it’s all change with the new Caerdydd Penarth constituency ready to roll! Covering areas including Cardiff West, Cardiff South, and lovely Penarth, this fresh super-constituency will be electing SIX representatives on May 7th. 🎉

What’s new? Expect more seats – 96 up from 60 – and a whole new voting system where you vote for parties rather than individual candidates. This means a more proportional representation, aiming to better reflect the will of the people. Will one party sweep the board? Who knows! But it’s more likely that seats will be divvied up across parties, giving a diverse voice to our lovely corner of Wales.
📍 Meet the Candidates
We’ve got a whole range of passionate candidates eager to make a difference. From Huw Thomas of Labour, to independents like Rhys ab Owen, there’s a wealth of experience and fresh ideas. Let’s not forget candidates from the Conservatives, Green Party, Plaid Cymru and more. They all bring something unique to the table – education plans, economic growth strategies, local health service improvements, and so much more.
🔍 Discover the Future Leaders
Candidates like Rhiannon Morrissey of the Heritage Party, who’s fighting for children’s innocence and challenging current debates, and Anna Brychan of Plaid Cymru, a long-time education advocate, show the diverse approaches on offer. Plus, independents who live and breathe community issues are ready to shake things up!
