🚨 Rugby Weekend Update! 🚨
The autumn internationals continue with some thrilling match-ups! Wales gears up to face Japan in a high-stakes encounter this Saturday. Eddie Jones has selected a towering 6ft 9in player, Harry Hockings, for Japan. Hockings, making his debut, shifted to Japan after a pay dispute in Australia and is now ready to make his mark. What a comeback story!
But that’s not all in the rugby world – aside from the Wales vs Japan clash, we’ve got England clashing with New Zealand in London. It’s a weekend packed with nail-biting action, and every match counts with World Cup implications on the line.
In notable news from the last weekend’s games, legendary referee Nigel Owens has cleared up the confusion surrounding the controversial try by the All Blacks. He explained why the play, which had fans buzzing, was indeed legal during his segment, Whistle Watch. Owens clarified the rules around rucks and tackles, easing the minds of many confused spectators. Rules explained, folks!
Don’t forget, a win this weekend could really shake up the World Rugby rankings for future World Cup pools, potentially changing the dynamics of the tournament. Every match, every try, and every call could be crucial as teams strive to secure a more favourable position for the next World Cup.
