🔍 Still No Leads in Shocking Cardiff Park Stabbing 🔍

Residents of Cardiff are on edge after a recent stabbing in Llandaff Fields, with the assailants still at large. In the early hours of Nov 10, a 55-year-old man was attacked while running, suffering seven stab wounds. Thankfully, his injuries were not life-threatening, and he was released from the hospital the same day.

South Wales Police described the event as an “isolated incident,” much to the confusion of locals questioning how they could be so sure without knowing the motives or the attackers involved. After some explanation, police clarified that “isolated” meant this was a one-off incident with no similar attacks reported on the day or since in the area.

Despite the unsettling nature of the attack, authorities haven’t advised runners to stay clear of Llandaff Fields in the early morning hours. A large police presence continues to investigate, including door-to-door inquiries and the search for doorbell footage that could shed light on the suspects. Described as two males dressed in dark clothing and wearing balaclavas, the culprits remain elusive.
Local detective inspector, Bob Chambers, reassured the community: “We appreciate the support from the public and urge anyone with information to come forward.” If you have any information, you are encouraged to contact South Wales Police at 101, referencing case number 2500358170.
