π Exciting times for Wales Rugby! Just as we gear up to face New Zealand, we’ve been given a boost in the world rankings, courtesy of a nail-biting finish in Georgia. Japan clinched a dramatic 25-23 victory over Georgia, courtesy of a last-minute penalty by Lee Seung Sin, moving them into the top 12. This leapfrogs Wales up a position, pushing us into the 11th spot in the rankings.

What does this mean? Wales is now in a prime position as a second seed for the 2027 World Cup draw happening on December 3rd. Despite what happens in upcoming matches against New Zealand and South Africa, we’ve secured our spot!

For Japan, it’s redemption after their heartbreaker against us just last week. And now, they’re celebrating big time!
Here’s a quick look at the bands for the World Cup draw:
– Band 1: South Africa, New Zealand, England, Ireland, France, Argentina
– Band 2: Australia, Fiji, Scotland, Italy, Wales, Japan
– Band 3 & 4 include teams like Georgia, Spain, Samoa, and many others.
With the World Cup’s new setup, it’s all about strategy. The journey to the final will now include a round of 16, which is a fresh twist making the path more thrilling and challenging.
Weβre buzzing with excitement for the upcoming matches and the World Cup draw. Bring it on! π
