Ammanford has just welcomed its very own 24-hour McDonald’s! 🍔🍟 After more than two years of planning and facing a bit of local opposition, the much-anticipated restaurant opened its doors on December 3rd. Located conveniently in the Tesco car park on Park Street, this new spot brings with it seating for 94 and around 75 new jobs for the community.
While some locals expressed concerns about potential litter, traffic congestion, and the impact on nearby cafes, the new McDonald’s promises to be a hub of activity. Plus, with its 24/7 service, it’s the perfect place for that midnight snack run! 🌙✨
During a recent council meeting, worries about possible anti-social behaviour were discussed, but the premises licence was granted, paving the way for McDonald’s to serve late-night refreshments every day.
Chris George, an operations consultant for McDonald’s, shared the excitement about bringing this iconic brand to Ammanford, emphasising the focus on people and the community. “We look forward to welcoming local customers and employees alike,” George expressed. “Our commitment is to offer opportunities for folks from all walks of life, promoting flexibility and equality.”
