🚨 **Busted! Cannabis Farm Discovered at Industrial Estate** 🚨
In a twist worthy of a crime drama, police were called to an industrial estate following reports of a break-in, only to uncover a sprawling cannabis farm! 🌿💼
The unsuspecting ‘gardener’, Kushi Alket, 35, was caught red-handed at the Hirwaun Industrial Estate, where over 200 cannabis plants valued at a whopping £87,000 were being lovingly tended to. With three separate rooms dedicated to cultivation, the setup was quite the operation!
Here’s how it unfolded: Authorities responded to a burglary alert over several units. Upon searching, they stumbled upon the green goldmine inside. Despite some plants being taken by the burglars, a significant number remained alongside cultivation equipment.
Caught on CCTV and linked by fingerprints, Alket—a man with no previous offences—found himself at the centre of this high-stakes horticultural operation. 🚔📸
Fast forward to the court hearing at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court, and Alket, originally from Albania but residing in West Sussex, admitted to producing cannabis. With over three months already in custody, the judge handed down a nine-month sentence, adjusted for time served.
Keep this story in mind if you ever fancy yourself a green-thumbed renegade—play with plants legally! 🤔🌱
