🎉 Big news for Cardiff Rugby fans! Despite the ongoing uncertainty in Welsh rugby, Cardiff is feeling pretty confident about retaining their star players next season! 🚀
While the rugby world is rattled by the departure of Wales captains Jac Morgan and Dewi Lake from the Ospreys, Cardiff is standing strong. Being based in the capital and owned by the union gives them a slight edge, especially as other clubs haven’t signed the new Professional Rugby Agreement. 🏉
The season end sees about 80 players across Wales out of contract, including big names like Josh Adams and Taulupe Faletau. Yet, Cardiff has done well keeping them in the past, even amidst rumours of moves to Mike Tindall’s breakaway league.
The team is currently soaring in the United Rugby Championship, sitting pretty in second place. This has head coach Corniel van Zyl feeling optimistic. He’s all about providing some much-needed certainty in these shifting times. ✨
Cardiff’s focus is clear: holding onto their talent is crucial. Though the loss of Morgan and Lake is tough for Welsh rugby, Cardiff is staying positive and looking forward.
Let’s cheer on Cardiff as they aim to keep their best and brightest wearing their signature blue and black! 💪🔵⚫
