🚨 *Unexpected Drama at Tesco Extra in Holyhead!*
It was anything but a normal Sunday afternoon for shoppers at Tesco Extra in Holyhead, Anglesey. At 1:20 PM, the hustle and bustle was interrupted as stunned customers were suddenly asked to drop everything and leave the store. The sound of a loud bang followed by blaring fire alarms quickly filled the air. Eyewitness Dan Montgomery, who was busy scanning a Christmas jumper for his wife, shared the dramatic moment: “Everyone was told to drop their items and leave the shop. We just had to drop everything and walk out.”
Multiple fire crews rushed to the scene, only to find there was no fire. Instead, an issue with a refrigeration unit on the roof was the source of the scare. After a thorough investigation, the all-clear was given and the store has since reopened safely.
Tesco has reassured everyone that all necessary precautions were taken to ensure shopper safety. While it was a temporary hiccup, the efficient response by the emergency services meant minimal disruption. Shoppers were back to browsing the aisles soon after.
Stay alert and stay safe, folks! 🛒✨
