🏉 Six Nations buzz is in the air and Wales is getting ready to tackle some big decisions before they face England in just over a month! With the Welsh Rugby team not having a taste of victory since March 2023, and England currently in top form with an 11-match winning streak, tensions are high as Wales coach Steve Tandy faces some tricky selection calls.
🔥 The spotlight is on Louis Rees-Zammit – fresh from his NFL adventure, his dynamic performances have everyone guessing whether he’ll shine on the wing or at full-back. Rees-Zammit could be the key to breaking through England’s strong defence, providing both aerial prowess and attacking flair.
💥 Who will line up alongside him? Mason Grady is making a comeback, and we’ve got a bunch of contenders like Josh Adams and Tom Rogers vying for a spot on the wings. A strong aerial game will be crucial, as demonstrated in the nail-biting matches against New Zealand last autumn.
🏉 In the midfield, Joe Hawkins might return to his lucky 12 jersey despite filling in as fly-half for the Scarlets. But with the likes of Nick Tompkins and Owen Watkin in the fray, the centre slots are still up for grabs.
⚔️ Up front, it’s all about the prop partnerships. Will Tandy go for the scrummaging strength of Nicky Smith and Archie Griffin, or opt for the carrying ability of Rhys Carre and Keiron Assiratti? Dafydd Jenkins is set to hold firm in the second-row, but the back-row sees a tough choice with the absence of captain Jac Morgan. Josh Macleod could be the answer at openside, with options like Taine Plumtree and James Botham bringing experience and grit.
🏉 And let’s not forget the No. 8 conundrum. Will it be the seasoned Taulupe Faletau or the rising star Morgan Morse?
🏆 The countdown is on as Wales prepares for a fierce battle against England, and every selection decision could be the game-changer. What do you think Tandy should do? Share your thoughts! #SixNations #WalesRugby #RugbyFamily
