Get ready for a gripping new documentary that unveils the chilling confession of a killer dentist! Colin Howell, who went undetected for nearly two decades, finally walked into a police station in 2009 and admitted to the shocking murders of his own wife, Lesley Howell, and Constable Trevor Buchanan.
In May 1991, their tragic deaths were initially thought to be a suicide pact linked to an alleged affair. But the truth was far more sinister. Howell, with the help of his then-lover Hazel Stewart, staged the scene to make it look that way. Now, both are serving time for their horrific actions.
The two-part documentary, “Confessions of a Killer,” promises to unravel Howell’s haunting admission and offers an in-depth look at the case. It features interviews with those who knew the victims, as well as investigators and journalists familiar with the chilling story. The series also touches on Stewart’s recent failed appeal, where she alleged coercive control by Howell.
Catch the first episode on BBC Northern Ireland on January 20th at 9pm and on BBC Two on January 25th. Both episodes will be available on BBC iPlayer from January 20th at 6am. Don’t miss this eye-opening exploration into a case that shocked a nation. 📺✨
