🏉 **Welsh Rugby Round-Up: Who’s Hot and Who’s Not!**
With the Wales squad announcement just around the corner, the past weekend was a crucial opportunity for players to shine. Here’s a quick dive into who stood out and who might want to forget their performance!
🔝 **Winners**
– **Bryn Bradley**: The Harlequins centre is on fire! After stunning victories against the Stormers and La Rochelle, Bradley’s incredible form could well earn him a spot on the Six Nations squad. Standing tall at 6ft 5in, his powerful carries and deft offloads are making waves.
– **Angus O’Brien**: Aged 31 and still making headlines as one of Wales’ best full-backs. His display for the Dragons, including a brilliant cross-kick try, suggests age is just a number. His name might just pop up in the squad discussions.
– **Rio Dyer**: The winger is back in form, dazzling with two tries against Newcastle. With his current flair and confidence, Dyer is a strong contender for the Six Nations team.
– **Ellis Mee**: Despite being on the losing side, Mee impressed with his high-ball skills and slick try setup. His recent performances should not be overlooked by the selectors.
– **Ryan Elias**: Even with Scarlets’ mixed bag this season, Elias stands out. His physicality and top tackling stats make him a potential squad pick.
– **Lewis Lloyd**: Although the Ospreys fell short, Lloyd’s robust performance is promising. Keep an eye on this young hooker!
đź‘Ž **Losers**
– **Kemsley Mathias**: A difficult match for Mathias, who struggled against a fierce Northampton scrum and received a yellow card for his troubles.
– **Cardiff Front-Row**: Cardiff’s front-row faced a tough time against Exeter’s powerful pack. Improvements are a must if they want to compete at the top level.
– **Kane James**: The promising backrower had a day to forget, exiting the match early due to an ankle injury. Hoping for a swift recovery!
