❄️ Snow Alert! Get Ready, Wales! 🌨️

Heads up, Wales! A 14-hour snow alert is in effect, and it’s time to prepare for a wintry blast. Starting 4pm today, expect snow to sweep across most of the country until 6am Thursday. Stay cautious as roads might get tricky, and travel disruptions are likely.

Here’s what the Met Office says: Between 2-5 cm of snow could blanket areas above 150-200 metres, and higher ground might see up to 15 cm! 🌬️ Keep an eye on these key timings to plan your day:
🚗 **Wednesday Morning:** From midnight, snowflakes may start fluttering over south Wales, including Maesteg, Pontypridd, and parts of Pembrokeshire. By 2am, it’s spreading further. By 6am, places like Merthyr Tydfil and Brecon will likely see snow.
🌨️ **Wednesday Afternoon:** By 1pm, snow is expected to cover significant parts of mid and north Wales. When the yellow warning kicks in at 4pm, eastern south Wales might face the most snowfall, along with mid and north Wales.
🌧️ **Thursday Morning:** Snow is expected to taper off by 1am, with only a few lingering flurries by 4am. ❄️ The big question is, how long will this last? It all depends on rainfall.
Deputy Chief Forecaster Steven Keates shares: Weather fronts from the Atlantic will brush against cold air, bringing snow primarily to higher grounds in Wales and central England. Expect temperatures around 3-5 °C. 🥶
