Hey there, snow lovers and travellers alike! Brace yourselves—snow is headed our way in Wales! The Met Office has put out a snow warning starting from 4pm today until 6am tomorrow. It’s time to dust off those winter boots and get prepared!

This snowy spell will cover a lot of ground, including areas like Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Caerphilly, Carmarthenshire, Neath Port Talbot, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Swansea, and Wrexham, to name a few.

Expect snow to start showing up in the south soon after midnight tonight. By 2am, larger areas in mid and east Wales, including Pembrokeshire, are going to look like a winter wonderland. As we hit 6am, snow will be making its presence known in places like Merthyr Tydfil and Abergavenny, stretching further north to Builth Wells.
The white stuff will keep its hold as the day goes on, with mid and north Wales seeing its fair share. Come 4pm, when the yellow warning officially kicks in, you can expect snow to cover eastern parts of south Wales.
By tonight, the snow will still hang around in pockets across south, mid, and north Wales. Most of it should wrap up by 1am Thursday, with just a few bits lingering here and there until 4am.
What happens to all that snow depends on the rain, so keep an umbrella handy just in case! Want to stay ahead of the icy conditions? Plan your travel routes carefully and keep an eye on possible delays or road closures for a safer journey.
And a word from the Met Office: The main snow stories will be above 150-200 metres, with up to 5cm likely. But some higher spots could see a whopping 10cm or more! With temps sitting around 3-5°C, it’s the perfect weather for a cosy night in.
Stay safe and enjoy the snow day! ❄️
