🏉 Exciting news for Ospreys & Wales rugby fans! 🏉
Lance Bradley, Ospreys chief, has met with the Ospreys Supporters’ Club to chat about the team’s future and the potential buyout of Cardiff Rugby by Y11. The Welsh Rugby Union’s preferred bidder has a 60-day exclusivity period to seal this deal, extending past the Six Nations. Swansea Council is pushing for a High Court injunction to keep the current four-team structure, but negotiations are ongoing.
Ospreys Supporters’ Club’s latest statement? Bright news – all permissions are in place for Y11 to potentially own both Ospreys and Cardiff Rugby. They’re all about keeping fans in the loop and advocating for their interests as things unfold. 🖤
In Six Nations chatter, Dewi Lake is rallying fans! After seeing smaller crowds for Wales‘ latest home game, he’s urging supporters to bring the legendary energy back to Principality Stadium for the Scotland match. He says, “It’s the heartbeat of the nation” when the stadium roars. And this weekend, they aim to snap their Six Nations losing streak at home.
Elsewhere, ex-Wales hero Josh Navidi is hyped about the upcoming match while spinning the decks at Chepstow Racecourse’s big screens event. He’s optimistic about players like Alex Mann making an impact. Navidi says key in winning is managing penalties – a challenge but not impossible given the team’s hard work!
Whether at the game or enjoying from home, here’s to an exciting weekend for Welsh rugby. 🎉
