Rhos-on-Sea is buzzing with controversy! A new “party cabin” proposal for an Airbnb has locals up in arms, after a notorious “prison watchtower” structure was taken down by council order. The watchtower, which loomed over neighbours’ gardens, was dismantled after locals complained, leading to council enforcement.

Now, a smaller structure is up for discussion. Designed to be a “cube-shaped” garden room, it could replace the watchtower. However, nearby residents aren’t too happy about it. They’re worried about noise and privacy, describing living there as feeling like being in a “zoo”. The design has been criticised for being too big, out of character for the area, and visually intrusive.

Opinions are split as the council gears up for a planning committee meeting to chat about the proposal. Will the new cabin get the green light, or will the objections hold weight? The drama unfolds as neighbours brace for the committee’s decision. Stay tuned for updates! 🏠🔍
