Exciting times for fitness fans in Cardiff! 🎉 Riverside Leisure Club in Splott is hoping to keep its doors open 24/7, but it’s all up to Cardiff Council now. 🕒 Currently, there’s a restriction in place that keeps the centre closed to the public between 11:30 pm and 6:30 am. This rule was initially set to respect the neighbourhood’s peace and quiet.
However, Riverside believes times have changed since the rule was made back in 2000, pointing out that the area has evolved and modern management practices can ensure minimal impact. 🌟 They assure that their late-night and early-morning operations are low-key, with fewer visitors and little noise.
Riverside also highlights that their facilities have been successfully serving the community for years without issues, and they promise no changes to the existing parking or access routes. 🚗 They even suggest that their usage patterns fit well with typical 24-hour gym operations, meaning no extra traffic problems or safety concerns.
It’s now a waiting game to see if the council will give the green light for this round-the-clock service. Would you take advantage of a 24-hour leisure club? Let us know what you think! 💬 #Cardiff24hrGym #FitnessGoals #SplottCommunity
