💔 Mental health issues and autism are the major barriers, affecting more than two-thirds of this group.
🔍 Overall, the share of all young people facing health-related job obstacles went from 9% to 16% over the past decade—a rise of 78%!

The Health Foundation warns this could severely impact the future prospects for this generation. Experts are calling for urgent change, expressing that “yesterday’s solutions might not be enough for today’s challenges.”

In December alone, 957,000 young people were identified as Neets, up from the previous quarter. This represents a critical need for prevention strategies and robust support systems to improve health and employment outcomes.

💡 What’s Being Done? The Government pledges nearly £1 billion additional investment to support job creation and provide substantial aid to young people impacted by health limitations. An extra £3.5 billion is earmarked to guide affected individuals back into the workforce by decade’s end.
