π¨ Important Travel Update for Train Passengers! π¨

Heads up, everyone! This weekend, trains between Cardiff and Newport will be halted for essential track upgrades. π§ Expect some changes if youβre planning to travel between March 20th and 22nd.

Here’s what you need to know:
– π Rail replacement buses will replace trains between Cardiff Central and Newport, departing approximately every five minutes. Helpful staff will be around to assist you!
– π Longer-distance disruptions: Trains to Manchester, Holyhead, and Cheltenham will begin and end at Newport. GWR services to London Paddington and Exeter will also terminate at Newport. Likewise, CrossCountry trains to Nottingham and services to Portsmouth Harbour will face changes.
– π On Sunday, expect further disruptions on the Valleys network, including no services on the Coryton line and changes to routes between Cardiff Queen Street and Cardiff Bay.
– π Additional rail replacement buses will run on affected Valley routes, with ticket acceptance on Cardiff Bus services for some routes.
Transport for Wales and Network Rail apologise for the inconvenience but emphasise that these works are crucial for maintaining a safe and efficient railway for the future.
Plan ahead, check your journey before you travel, and stay informed through local updates. Have a smooth journey! π¬
