🚗💬 The M4 relief road debate is heating up again! Welsh transport minister Ken Skates has firmly stated that the opportunity to build this road “has been and gone.” 🤔 Amid increasing calls to revive the £1.6bn project, Skates argued in the Senedd that the financial burden and environmental concerns around the Gwent Levels make it a no-go.

Meanwhile, the Conservatives and Reform UK are fired up with promises to bring back the project, with Reform even suggesting it could be a toll road. However, Skates is doubling down on alternative solutions like new train stations to ease M4 traffic.
Natasha Asghar from the Tories argues against tolls, promising an M4 road without extra driver fees, while her ex-colleague, now with Reform, labelled Tory plans as “back-of-the-fag-packet economic policy.” 🚦💷

What’s your take on this? Should the M4 relief road become a reality, or are there better ways to decongest the motorways? Share your thoughts! 🛣️🌿 #M4Debate #WalesTransport #RoadToTheFuture
