👀 Big names caught in minimum wage scandal! Is your employer on the list? 👀

A group of Welsh businesses are making headlines for all the wrong reasons. They’re among hundreds across the UK exposed for not paying workers the legal minimum wage. Notable companies shamed include GE Aircraft Engine Services in Cardiff and Buyology in Barry. National giants like Bupa, Hays Travel, and Costa are also under fire, with fines totalling a whopping £12.6 million 🤑.

The Department for Business and Trade has revealed a staggering number of underpaid workers, with around 60,000 people affected. Amongst these, ISS Mediclean Ltd tops the list, owing over £1.5 million to more than 6,500 employees. These findings highlight the reality many workers face, being short-changed despite hard work.
If you’re wondering about England’s minimum wage breakdown, it’s currently set at £12.21 for those over 21, £10 for ages 18-20, and £7.55 for the younger workers and apprentices. A rise is expected next month! 📈💼
It’s crucial for everyone to be aware – and make sure you’re getting what you deserve. As Business Secretary Peter Kyle says, “Most businesses do right by their employees, but it’s not fair when others take shortcuts.”
Stay tuned, stay alert, and ensure you’re in the know. Your hard work deserves rightful pay. 💪💰
