🚗🚦 Heads up, Cardiff! A massive digital billboard is coming to the Coryton Roundabout, and it’s got people talking. 🌟 The council has approved a 12x3m cinema-style display, set to tower above one of the UK’s largest roundabouts. While some are excited about the new addition, not everyone is thrilled.
Local residents and the Tongwynlais Community Council are concerned it could be a major distraction for drivers navigating the busy interchange connecting the M4 and A470. 🚙💨 There are also worries about its impact on nearby wildlife, especially the wildflower meadow and nocturnal animals like bats. 🌼🦇
Despite these concerns, approvals have been granted with conditions. There’ll be limits on brightness, no moving images or anything resembling traffic signs to keep drivers’ attention where it needs to be—on the road.
What do you think? Is this a modern upgrade or an unnecessary distraction? Share your thoughts below! 💬👇
