🔥 Heartbreaking Arson Attack in Ferndale 🔥

An elderly grandmother, Carol Ford, narrowly escaped a terrifying night when her beloved home in Ferndale was set ablaze by four arsonists from Weston-super-Mare. Carol, who’s called this house her home for over 60 years, escaped with her life but not much else – except her false teeth.

What happened? In the early hours of the night, the culprits threw petrol through the letterbox and a window, igniting a blaze that destroyed not only Carol’s home but also three cars. Nearby neighbours had to evacuate their homes as firefighters battled the fierce flames.

Caught and sentenced: The perpetrators, Alfie Wheeler, Auryn Gustur, Connor Pitt, and Lewis Manito, were brought to justice at Cardiff Crown Court. Pitt, deemed the leader, received an 18-year sentence for arson with intent to endanger life. Gustur was sentenced to 15 and a half years, Wheeler to 13 years, and Manito got nine years.
Carol’s heart-wrenching words remind us of her loss, not only of her home but the memories attached to it: “Money cannot replace what I have lost. My memories vanished in that fire. I was independent before, but now I’m plagued with anxiety and stress. The only thing that survived was my false teeth.”
Let’s come together as a community to support Carol in her time of need. ❤️
