What a rollercoaster day for Wales’ youth football teams! 🌟
In an unexpected twist, the Wales U-17s faced a tough defeat, losing 1-0 to San Marino in their UEFA U-17 Euros qualifier. Considering San Marino’s senior team is ranked 211th in the world, fans were left stunned by this shocking upset. Let’s hope they bounce back and climb from the bottom of their group soon.
But it wasn’t all doom and gloom! The Wales Women’s U-19s made history with an incredible 3-2 victory over England, their first-ever win against them. The match was a nail-biter, with Lucy Day clinching the winner in the 77th minute, keeping their dreams alive for the 2026 finals in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 🙌
Meanwhile, our women’s senior team is gearing up for their 2027 World Cup qualifying match against Albania tonight. They’re leading their group after a strong start, and both Head Coach Rhian Wilkinson and Captain Angharad James are confident about maintaining their top form.
What a day for Welsh footie! 🏴⚽ Keep supporting the teams as they continue to make us proud on the international stage.
