Hey Swansea folks! If you’re a true crime fan, heads up! There’s been quite a bit of chatter about the recent True Crime and Wine event at the Patti Pavilion, and not all of it is good. Attendees are calling it a “bizarre rip-off,” comparing it to the infamous Willy Wonka disaster in Glasgow not too long ago.

So, what went down? Picture this: overcrowded spaces making you feel like you’re at Oktoberfest, chaotic bars with only four people serving 600 guests, and wine costing a whopping £25 a bottle! Attendees expected a sophisticated night of true crime tales and tastings. Instead, they got lukewarm white wine and frosty red, with some guests leaving well before the interval.

Nicola, one of the attendees, reported that the interactive games veered into cringe territory, with insensitivity trumping intrigue. She and many others left scratching their heads and their wallets. Not to mention Rhian, who left the gig after just 30 minutes, feeling the whole shindig was poorly managed and didn’t deliver on any of its promises.
Event organisers said they’re taking feedback on board, but many guests were left in limbo, struggling to get a satisfactory response from ticket providers. So, if you’re planning on attending similar events, maybe think twice, or be sure to get the details straight from the source!
