Held at the Patti Pavilion, the event aimed to offer captivating storytelling paired with a curated wine experience. But attendees were hit with a chaotic scene instead. Overwhelmed bars, cramped seating, and warm white wine were just a few of the issues. Attendees paid £20.80 each, expecting at least a guided wine experience, only to find bottles priced at a steep £25! 🥂

Nicola, who attended with friends, noted it felt more like a boisterous Oktoberfest than a true-crime evening: “It was packed; you could hardly move. And the bar? Chaos!” ⚠️ With only two servers for a crowd of 600, getting a drink was a nightmare.

And as for the true crime content? “Even the hosts seemed lost. It was difficult to hear them over the chatter,” she said. To make matters worse, some interactive games struck many as downright inappropriate.

🤯 By the interval, about a third of the crowd had bailed. Nicola and her friends eventually joined them, frustrated and disappointed. Other attendees quickly took to social media, echoing similar sentiments.

The organisers acknowledged the feedback and have processed 19 refunds. They promise to learn from this experience for future events, but this particular night in Swansea won’t be forgotten for all the wrong reasons.
