🚤 **Drama on the Water!** 🚤
Last night, a rogue yacht caused quite the stir in Conwy! The vessel broke free from its mooring and drifted up the river, only to find itself stuck under Conwy Bridge as the tide rose. 😲
The situation looked dire, with the mast striking the bridge and the yacht at risk of capsizing. Thankfully, our heroes from the RNLI sprang into action. At 19:56, they received an alert and raced to the scene, tasked by HM Coastguard to keep an eye on the precarious predicament.
With a united effort from multiple boats, and after holding steady until the tide turned slack, a daring rescue operation unfolded. By 21:36, they managed to free the trapped yacht, ensuring everyone remained safe. 🛟👏
Among the crew was Phil, a newly qualified tractor driver, who experienced quite the baptism by fire. After acing his Launch Vehicle assessment just that morning, he was out in the field putting his new skills to the test. Talk about hitting the ground running! 🚜💪
A massive round of applause to all the crew members who kept watch and worked tirelessly both on the water and on land. Your teamwork and dedication made all the difference. 🌊✨
All’s well that ends well, and the lifeboat returned to base to get ready for the next call of duty. Incredible work, everyone! 🙌
Stay safe and keep an eye on those moorings, folks! 🌊🚤 #ConwyDrama #RNLIRescue #TeamworkMakesTheDreamWork
