π Cardiff City is on the rise! Our club’s promotion to the Championship is doing more than just raising spirits – it’s inspiring the next generation of football talent! π

Under-21s captain, Jack Kingdon, reveals how the success of Brian Barry-Murphy’s team has created a buzz throughout the club. Young guns in the academy are taking notes from the first team, and it’s driving everyone to push harder and aim higher.

Kingdon, who joined from Manchester United last summer, has been soaking in the senior squad’s energy. “Promotion has given us an extra edge,” he shares. “The excitement’s contagious, and it’s lifting everyone – from academy lads to seasoned players.”
And it’s not just talk. Players like Dylan Lawlor, Ronan Kpakio, and the Colwill brothers have shown what dedication looks like. Kpakio, buzzing after the big win over Northampton, says, “It’s a mad feeling to get promoted in my first season. The fans’ support makes it all the more special.”
Taking pride in the growth of players like Kpakio, Kingdon believes they’re paving the way for emerging talent. “Seeing them train and succeed is really inspiring for us in the academy,” he notes. βIt sets a standard for us to reach.β
Coach Barry-Murphy has picked many from the academy this season, allowing players to shine in competitions like the Vertu Trophy. Names like Rob Tankiewicz and Axel Donczew are making waves, with plenty more hot on their heels.
Kingdon, captaining the under-21s and stepping up in the first team, has cherished every moment. Leading the first team against Arsenal’s under-21s in the Vertu Trophy was a milestone, βan amazing feeling,β he recalls.
The future looks bright at Cardiff City! With young talents ready to follow this season’s breakout stars, fans can expect exciting times ahead. Let’s keep supporting our team, and watch these young stars rise! πβ½οΈ
