Struck by a vehicle on April 20th, Greg suffered severe injuries and was transported by the Wales Air Ambulance to a hospital in Stoke, where he sadly died just days later.
Known for his infectious personality and golden heart, Greg split his time between North Wales and Wigan and made lasting memories with everyone he met. His close friend Christopher Watts put it best: “Greg had a way of bringing people together, whether it was through his kindness, his humour, or simply his presence. He was deeply loved and his absence leaves a void in the lives of so many.”
The outpouring of love is evident, with a fundraising page set up by friends quickly surpassing £20,000 to support his partner Isla and cherished daughter Lanie. Every penny will help them navigate life without him and support Lanie’s future education.
Greg’s employer, Deckings Direct, shared: “We sadly lost a valued member of the Lyons family. Greg was larger than life, full of warmth, and had an unmatched ability to lift spirits and make everyone feel welcome.”
