Final Words to Ian Watkins from Alleged Murderer Revealed in Court as Heartbreaking Goodnight Gesture

In a chilling court drama, Ian Watkins, the infamous former frontman of Lostprophets, was allegedly wished a “good night’s sleep” by one of his accused murderers as he lay dying from a neck wound. The notorious paedophile, serving a 29-year sentence for heinous crimes, met his end at HMP Wakefield last October. Two men, Rico Gedel and Samuel Dodsworth, are on trial, accused of the murder.

In the opening statements at Leeds Crown Court, it was revealed that Watkins, 48, was stabbed with a makeshift weapon and found bloodied in his cell. As the prison officers rushed to help him, Gedel reportedly sauntered past Watkins’ open cell, delivering the eerie farewell. Prosecutor Tom Storey KC described Gedel’s bizarre behaviour after the incident, including an unprovoked assault on a fellow prisoner and a casual, almost amused demeanour during the chaos that followed.

Despite Gedel’s claim of using his hands as a weapon, neither blood nor marks were found on him. His clothing and shoes have been seized for examination. The ongoing trial promises further revelations, keeping everyone on edge.
