In a dramatic twist, Donald Trump is reportedly toying with the idea of adding Venezuela as the 51st state of America! After a jaw-dropping chat with a Fox News correspondent, Trump seems to be serious about this bold move. The buzz started when Venezuela took down Italy in the World Baseball Classic semi-final, sparking Trump’s interest with a cheeky post on Truth Social hinting at “statehood”. And he didn’t stop there! After Venezuela stunned the US in the final, Trump reinforced his stance with a simple “Statehood!!!” message.
This idea follows a wave of US actions in Venezuela, including military intervention and the dramatic capture of former president Nicolás Maduro. Trump’s bold claims that Maduro was behind a wave of drug trafficking and inmate migrations have added fuel to the fire. Currently, Maduro is in the US facing hefty charges.
Throughout his presidency, Trump has often threatened to expand US territories, eyeing countries like Greenland and even Canada. Could Venezuela really be next? Let us know your thoughts on this surprising development! 🌎🇺🇸
