TV star Dermot O’Leary is in a bit of a pickle! He’s trying to sway ITV bosses to let him skip Soccer Aid rehearsals so he can witness his beloved Arsenal in the Champions League final against PSG. The match takes place in Budapest, but Soccer Aid’s on the agenda right after, putting Dermot in a real bind. He’s got a ticket for the match and a burning passion for the Gunners, but those pesky contractual obligations have him tied up!
Joking on Radio 5 Live, Dermot admitted the situation is looking “perilous” with negotiations underway. Even Arsenal legend and co-host Alex Scott wants to join him to cheer for the Gunners in Hungary. Will they make it? It’s touch-and-go!
Amidst all this, Dermot and Alex couldn’t be happier as Arsenal clinched the Premier League title for the first time in 22 years! Dermot shared a joyous Instagram snap with Arsenal stars, captioned “COYG [Come On You Gunners].” Meanwhile, Alex celebrated at home, posting childhood snaps in her Arsenal kit and raising a glass with partner Jess Glynne.
Can Dermot find a way to fulfil both his Soccer Aid duties and his Arsenal dreams? Stay tuned! #Arsenal #DermotOLeary #SoccerAid #ChampionsLeague #GunnersForever
