Attention all learner drivers! Important rule changes are rolling out this June that might affect your driving test plans. Here’s the scoop:

From June 9th, new rules will dictate how you can manage your car driving test appointments. The DVSA has confirmed three crucial updates:

1. **Limited Changes**: You can only make two changes to your test booking. This rule has been in effect since March 31, 2026.
2. **Personal Changes Only**: As of May 12, 2026, only the learner themselves can alter their booking.
3. **Test Centre Limits**: Starting June 9, 2026, you’ll only be able to switch your test to one of the three nearest centres to your originally booked location.
So, what counts as a change?
– Changing the date or time
– Switching the test centre
– Swapping appointments with another learner
Not everything will count, though! Updating your contact details or making changes due to DVSA requirements (like bad weather) won’t eat into your change limit.
If you’ve used up your two changes and need to make another, you’ll have to cancel and rebook, but don’t worry—you’ll get a full refund if you cancel at least 10 working days in advance.
Before making adjustments, make sure they’re necessary to avoid the hassle of rebooking. Stay informed and keep everything running smoothly for your test day!
Get ready, be prepared, and drive confidently into these new changes. Good luck!
