🚗Traffic Alert🚗
There’s a bit of a situation on the M4 near Newport today, as all traffic is currently held up due to a crash by the Brynglas tunnels. Emergency services are at the scene, working hard to manage the situation. If you’re planning to head that way, you might want to rethink your route or prepare for some delays, as diversions are in place and congestion is likely around the area.
The road closure affects the eastbound direction from J26 (Malpas Road) to J25A (Newport/Cwmbran). So if you’re out enjoying this scorchingly hot Bank Holiday Monday, maybe travelling to the beach or visiting friends, keep this in mind!
Earlier, there was another snarl-up due to a crash near Porthcawl, but thankfully that has cleared. Just a tip though, with today’s record-breaking heat over 33°C, maybe pack some extra water and snacks if you’re stuck in traffic.
Stay tuned for updates as we keep an eye on the situation! Remember to stay safe out there. 🌞🚦
