💔 Heartbreaking Update: Young Mum Injured in Nottinghamshire Crash 💔

24-year-old Libby Jacobs is bravely battling the aftermath of a devastating car crash that left her with life-altering injuries. The accident, which happened in Nottinghamshire on December 27, 2025, resulted in a traumatic brain injury, alongside severe internal damage including a torn aorta, perforated bowel, liver trauma, and a ruptured spleen. She’s spent five long months fighting through intensive care and now, at a specialist brain injury unit.

Libby’s been separated from her beloved five-year-old son, Hunter, for much of this time, making the journey even more difficult. Her loving parents, Yvonne and Simon, are working tirelessly with expert lawyers to secure the vital rehab and therapies Libby needs. They’re doing everything possible to get her back home to Hunter.

“It’s hard to put into words what the past months have been like for us,” Yvonne shares. “When Hunter visited her in hospital, you could see the instant change – it was like a light turned on in her.” 🌟
Despite making some progress, like managing small everyday tasks, Libby’s road to recovery is still long and uncertain. The family is staying strong together, but the challenges are immense.
To support Libby’s journey, well-wishers have set up a GoFundMe page to assist with travel and hospital-related expenses. Over £3,000 has already been raised, showing the incredible community support.
The incident is under investigation, with a man arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving under the influence. The family’s story also raises awareness during Action for Brain Injury Week, highlighting the isolation faced by brain injury survivors.
