🎉 Calling all Cardiff parents! Nursery applications for 2027 are now open! 🎈
Time to get those little ones ready for their big nursery adventure. If your child turns three in the next few years, it’s time to start planning. 📝
🗓️ Key Dates to Remember:
– **Spring 2027 start**: For children born between 1st Sep – 31st Dec 2023. Apply by June 29, 2026. Offers out on 5th Oct 2026.
– **Summer 2027 start**: For kids born between 1st Jan – 31st Mar 2024. Apply by June 29, 2026. Offers issued on 8th Jan 2027.
With 89 nursery classes spanning 92 schools (including dual-stream options!), you have plenty of choices to find just the right spot. Whether you’re looking for English- or Welsh-medium education, Cardiff has you covered – and remember, Welsh-medium options are open to everyone, regardless of the language spoken at home. 🏫
🏢 Prefer a faith-based primary school? Apply directly with the school for these spots.
Important Note: A place in a nursery class doesn’t guarantee a spot in the affiliated primary school’s reception class. Be prepared to submit a separate application for primary school when the time comes.
✨ Tip: Applying before the June 29th deadline increases your chances of securing a spot in your preferred nursery. Don’t miss out!
Cardiff is also committed to offering support for children who speak additional languages, making it a welcoming place for all. 🌍
Start planning today and give your child the best start in their educational journey!
