Vapes, especially the disposable ones, are more than just trash. They’re packed with electronics like batteries and circuit boards, making them hazardous if they end up in the bin lorry. 💥 If these little guys get crushed, they can cause fires at waste sites—not exactly what you want your bin day to end with!
From 1st June, all single-use vapes are illegal to sell or supply in the UK. So, if you’re still holding onto one, it doesn’t belong in your general waste or recycling bins. 🌍♻️ Instead, look for designated electronic waste disposal points to safely get rid of them.
Remember, reusable vapes aren’t off the hook either. If yours malfunctions or you upgrade, dispose of it properly. Let’s keep our community safe and our wheelie bins collected on time! 🙌
