Meet Jeff Titmarsh, 67, a painter and decorator whose life took an unexpected turn thanks to two observant clients. While working on their home, Jeff’s frequent trips to the loo caught the attention of his clients—both retired doctors. Concerned, they urged Jeff to see a doctor, suspecting that his frequent visits to the bathroom were more than just a sign of aging.

Initially dismissing his frequent urination as a sign of his advancing years, Jeff finally took their advice. Tests soon revealed that he had stage four prostate cancer, which had sadly spread to his bones. Despite the shock, Jeff faced the scary diagnosis head-on, starting chemotherapy and hormone treatments immediately.

Thankfully, Jeff’s cancer responded well to treatment, and he’s now in remission. Beyond relief, what started as a surprising diagnosis has given Jeff a new mission: raising awareness about prostate cancer symptoms. He’s currently training to participate in Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4 charity ride to support Prostate Cancer Research.

Jeff says, “Going to the loo more often is a common symptom. Don’t ignore it like I did. The sooner you check, the better.” His story is a strong reminder to all that sometimes, the smallest signs can be life-saving.

It’s not just about awareness for Jeff, though. He’s grateful for his friends and family who have been pillars of support, proving that strength and positivity can do wonders in the toughest of times.

So, fellas, if you’ve noticed similar symptoms, get checked out—don’t let the British stiff upper lip keep you from taking action. 🎗️
