The plan involves demolishing the old buildings to make space for these new homes, including 24 affordable units. Plus, most of the existing trees and the ancient woodland will be preserved, adding a touch of nature to the neighbourhood.

Access to the site will be improved with the addition of two new pedestrian and cycle crossings on the A48, alongside a new signal-controlled junction. To ensure safety, there’s also a proposal to reduce the speed limit to 40mph and establish a new active travel route linking the A48 with New Inn Lane. 🚴‍♂️

There were some concerns about increased traffic pressure, but officials assured that the new junction should help ease congestion and improve the flow of vehicles in the area. After careful consideration, the proposal was unanimously approved by the council’s planning committee. ✅
